Be “Bear Aware”!

September 7th, 2008

The official document can be found here. A series of must-see videos on bear safety in British Columbia can be found at the same link. We at The FILTER have heard that these are standard viewing for many working out in the bush. They definitely have more than one (unintentionally?) hilarious moment. For example:

“Bears are fast. Very fast. Put the human record holder in the 100 meter dash up against a Grizzly bear. By the time the human is crossing the finish line, the bear is 66 meters ahead. That’s 66% faster than the fastest human.

You are not the fastest human.”
